At Spock’s Wheels, we’re more than just engineers and designers—we’re a team of passionate potters who understand what artists truly need.
Based in sunny Florida, our crew blends hands-on ceramics expertise with a love for Star Trek’s ingenuity, creating pottery wheels that are as functional as they are futuristic.
Our Crew
🔹 Captain Clay (Founder & Lead Designer)
A lifelong potter and Trekkie, Captain Clay (aka Harry, but we like the title) dreamed of a pottery wheel that felt like it belonged in a starship’s workshop. After years of wrestling with clunky, outdated wheels, he set out to build something better—sleek, powerful, and precision-engineered for modern artists.
🔹 Commander Kiln (Head of Production)
Our resident materials expert, Commander Kiln (aka Maria), ensures every Spock’s Wheel is built to last. With a background in industrial design and a love for ceramics, she tests every component to withstand the demands of daily studio life.
🔹 Ensign Glazek T’Potte (Customer & Community)
Our friendly face (and voice!) for all things Spock’s Wheels, Enamel Ensign (aka Taylor) helps potters find their perfect match—whether they’re beginners or seasoned pros.
Why We Do What We Do
We’re artists first. Every wheel we design is tested in our own studios, thrown on for hours, and tweaked until it feels just right. We know the frustration of a wobbly wheel, a sluggish pedal, or a motor that can’t handle thick clay—so we built ours to eliminate those headaches.
